Doing better!

This is my baby, Duff. Look at his poor little leg! The bandage comes off tomorrow afternoon. I'm not sure I'm ready to see that. He is doing lots better, barking and trying to run around. The doorbell rang last night and he was off. We'll have to stop people ringing the bell or he will do himself an injury. He ate a bit last night too (with the help of gravy). So far today, he's just been trying to bury his food in his bowl and then shove the bowl all around the kitchen. He's getting in and out of the house okay now too.

Because I missed out my reading this week, I was able to get out and deliver the papers much earlier, therefore finishing a lot earlier too. Good thing because it is chucking it down now. So far, I am feeling okay, not the overwhelming tiredness I usually feel. I hope it lasts.

Evan has gone to Ben's birthday party now and won't be back until 8.00 tonight. It's so strange without him.

And I did some stitching last night. I can't quite believe it. I didn't start until about 9.45 pm and haven't got much done, but it was stitching. I thought I had better get going on Ink Circles' Sea Stars, which is being stitched with Carrie's Threads.

I also got a fabulous package in the mail this morning from Alli, my friend in Canada. She stitched the last square for me on my Santa RR and it looks great. She also sent me a copy of Needle Pulling Thread, a Canadian stitching magazine. I like this magazine as it has some great articles in it. She also enclosed her own Tatty Ted RR for me to stitch a square on. This is for her as-yet unborn baby, Harrison, and will be made into a quilt.
