Getting perkier!

Duff seems to have had a restful night last night as I didn't hear him at all. However, that tells you what kind of night I had. He was up and about this morning a bit, but I couldn't get him outside for a pee. He made it as far as the kitchen and plonked himself down there. When I left to take Evan to school, he was still there, sitting up. When I got home, he was laying on his blanket again. Since there is no possible way I can lift him, I decided he would have to make his own mind up when he had to go.

Eventually about 11.30, he ventured out and then laid down on the patio for a bit. Once I could see him shivering, I helped him up and came in. He's since had a walk around the house and has settled down again. He's drinking but not really eating yet, except for the few stray pieces of meat I sneak to him.

Provided I can get him out again later this afternoon, I will take Evan to badminton. I don't like leaving Duff, but if I know he is settled, it will be okay. The recovery road is long, about 15 weeks so I had better get used to this.
