Where has this week gone? I can't believe it is Friday already. Stress-wise, it's not been a good week again. My grandmother died on the weekend quite suddenly as I mentioned earlier. Then, my husband was made redundant on Tuesday!
Duff is doing quite well, considering the seriousness of his injury. He is using his leg more every day for things I don't think he should be doing just yet. He also lays on it and when I see that, I immediately roll him off as it must hurt. I also found him up on the couch last night. I'd love to have a video of him when we are out. He's also been eyeing our bed up, but I do feel that is just a leap too far for him just yet.
Today was supposed to be Evan's Sports Day, but it was cancelled due to the weather and the field being so wet. Evan didn't really seem to mind, but there were quite a few upset kids and parents, who had taken the day off work. The school will try again for Monday, but if it doesn't work out then, it will be an internal event and parents won't be invited. What a shame!
Dave took Duff to get his three remaining stitches out this morning. We are now allowed to take him for 5 minute walks, increasing by 5 minutes every week. The vet said swimming was very good for him, but I am petrified of taking him back to a beach.
After a brief shower this morning, Dave and I delivered the papers. It's always great when I have help as it moves along quite quickly.
And I've been making progress on Sea Stars. This is where I am up to now. It is moving along quite nicely. I just need to stop spending so much time reading, but I can't resist those Sophie Kinsella books!
